Register for Testing

To begin registering for a test session, please choose the campus where you wish to take the test.  Please look at the list of programs offered at each campus, and choose a campus that offers the program you are interested in and is convenient to you.  Please note that if the program you wish to study is not offered at the campus you select, you will be allowed to test at that campus, but will have to go to a campus that offers the program you wish to study to meet with an advisor for score interpretation and to help you select courses. 

  Exemption from the Compass Placement:

  • SAT scores of 520 or higher in Critical Reading (or Verbal) and 600 or higher in the Math section of the SAT test, scores must be less than 5 years old at the time you apply to Wake Tech or
  • ACT scores of 21 or higher in the Reading, Writing, and Math sections of the ACT test, scores must be less than 5 years old at the time you apply to Wake Tech or
  • A grade of “C” or better in a college-level English and math course.

Health Sciences Campus: Nursing, Radiography, Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting, Surgical Technology, Therapeutic Massage, Medical Assisting, Medical Lab Technology, Emergency Medical Science, Pharmacy Technology, Human Services Technology, and Phlebotomy programs are available at the Health Sciences campus.  To get directions and view a map of this campus, go to the Health Sciences Campus Web Site.


Northern Wake Campus: Associate of Arts and Associate of Science college transfer programs are available at the Northern Wake campus. To get directions to this campus, go to the Northern Wake Campus Web Site.


Western Wake Campus: The Associate of Arts transfer program is available at the Western Wake Campus. To get directions to this campus, go to the Western Wake Campus Web Site.
